Missing Ship

At 0830 yesterday morning Damningwithfaintpraise lost contact with the merchantman S.S. Elsker Landette. Last known position was 700 nm west of the Island of Ireland. We have launched long range seaplanes to investigate. 36 merchant marine souls are on board. (29 from DWFP, 2 Germans, 4 Phillipino, and 1 Kenyan). We don't know if foul play is involved, but since the cargo was 4000 tonnes of salted cod, it seems unlikely. More information to follow as it becomes available.

It has been discovered the Kenyan national, Anthony Mufasa, on the S.S. Elsker Landette is the fiancée of the Queen's Private Secretary, Amanda Carrillo, in Mannland. It is of the utmost importance that his location is determined. Mannland Naval Force General L. Wiggins is prepared to deploy sailors to aid in a search party and the Queen would like to request daily updates on this endeavor.

Mannland prays to Goddess that the souls onboard are alive and well.

DWFP flying boats have searched the site of last known location, plus 50 nm. Further, the search was extended ahead another 100 nm on the last known course. As of yet, not so much as a scrap of wreckage has been found. We are perplexed. Piracy is not suspected at this time. The aircraft have been diverted to Hungadada to refuel, as we at DWFP have had a long working relationship with their government. The D.N. Skaftar is being sortied to shadow the S.S. Landette's course all the way to Nova Scotia to see if that yields any results.

The Alaska Rep have a submarine in the area and as perm granted from the government would like to ask to join in the search for the missing ship

The Hungadada Coast Guard has ships built for these types of missions. We will begin looking in the search area as well. Sonar is also available for use.

Any assistance is appreciated. We have determined the transponder on the ship ceased transmitting in mid-ping. Still searching for debris but, we have no theories that fit. We have an oceanography dept at the University of Kjellstad, we are contacting them for assistance.

It is best we track the last area where the ship signal is received then start to search from there. Also let us look at the wave movement should have the ship sink or dragged around we may know where it went or atleast get the survivor out

On October 13, at 1500, Mannland lost contact with Knowles Star, a traditional multi-hulled canoe that sails around the world every autumn. Last known location was near the Fiji Islands at 17.7134° S, 178.0650° E. Mannland has sent a search team to work in tandem with local government officials. On board were renowned history scholar, Paula Greene, internationally recognized champion surfer, Michelle "Water Pipe" Lee, navigations university student, Janae West, and the owner of the Knowles Star, Tina Hendrix. There have been no reports of dangerous weather. Foul play is not suspected, but has not been ruled out as a possibility. Please check back regularly for updates and pray to Goddess that these adventurers re-appear soon, safe and sound.

The Hungadadian navy will send in a search and rescue ship to help look for the Knowels Star.

The University of Kjellstad oceanographers have put forth three theories. 1. Sea floor quakes that cause rogue waves large enough to swamp a ship. 2. Large Gas releases from the sea floor, which would cause a rising bubble that displaces the water out from under a ship. 3. Magnetic anomalies that cause ships to head in erroneous tangent courses. What these don't cover are why there is zero debris (flotsam) and why the transponder would suddenly stop.

We have disproven the first and third theories. There was no seismic activity in that region and scans by satellites owned by NASA, show the ship just isn't in the Atlantic ocean (at least on the surface).

HS Gemstone has gone missing after leaving NRBZ (Nuclear Research Base Zeus) in Antarctica.

CURRENT KNOWN INFORMATION:

Last communication with the Gemstone was completed at 11:17 PM Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), where the captain said: "Give my thanks to Daniels. Goodnight, Hotel Sierra Gemstone."

The ship vanished off radar at approximately 3:09 AM UTC. Controllers at NRBZ attemped to re-establish contact, to no avail. An emergency was declared at 3:15 AM UTC. Currently, HASR (Hungadada Antarctic Search and Rescue) is looking for the ship.

Weather at the time was low cloud cover, with wind speed at 14 knots. There was no storm or bad weather.

Notable people: Nuclear scientist James Edward Jones was onboard, along with captain H.W. Miller.

These disappearances are so radically far apart. Hard to conceive of anything but a "weird" answer.

Less than 24 hours after ship declared missing? Was it announced in the press? I'd be investigating a hoaxer. We got a crackpot call claiming Loki was behind the disappearance of the Landette.

The message mentioned has not been yet revealed to the press. Port Royalty Police and other relevant authorities are investigating the message. We are not ruling out the message until a conclusive investigation is complete.

The S.S. Elsker Landette's transponder has started squawking again. The signal is coming from Latitude 51.789931, Longitude 56.853212. It's on the EXACT latitude where the ship disappeared. Here is the issue, it's 5061 km from where it was last known. And something else...

Further information about HS Gemstone:

In regards to cargo: It is now known that there were 302 containers aboard the Gemstone. 213 containers had research equipment from NRBZ. 89 containers contain "classified materials".

An HAA Satellite (specifically HAA-89-01) picked up the ship 12 nautical miles off the coast of Madagascar. Apparently, the ship was/is still transmitting transponder locations to receivers. It is unknown if the ship is still sending out location data. HASR also picked up 4 containers from the Gemstone. They were part of the "classified cargo" and had their locks tampered with. The cargo was still intact. It is unknown how the cargo ended up in the sea.

We have tried to get permission to visit or even flyover from the local government but have thus far been stonewalled. The Landette is sitting on a mountaintop in the southern Ural mountains, slightly northwest of the city/village of Malinovka. Crew disposition unknown. Obviously, we can't explain how it got there.

This is turning all the more strange.

Hungadada proposes using an IHAF stealth-recon airplane to survey the scene. We have also contacted the Madagascar government, to no response.

The Alaska Rep will use it good relation with the Russian government to ask the permission to research it

Any assistance in getting a rescue mission in Russian territory would be appreciated. According to Russian authorities, the town of Malinovka has been abandoned, but no explanation for why was offered.

The Russian granted permission for the rescue mission. Alaska Rep rescue team will dispatch soon, the Russian gov granted the use of military base for refueling and repair if needee.
